Learning …

Which way do you learn?
Do you learn the easy way, or the hard/difficult way? In listening to this song, I have “seen” myself. Yes that would be me, the stubborn one …
The Hard Way Every Time
Here is the song, and it’s me! Isn’t it odd when we can identify so closely to lyrics ?
I have gotten better as I’ve gotten older. Running into walls really hurts!
I used to joke that I was a slow learner, but it’s true. I had to learn the hard way every time. I look back and can smile now, at the time, not so much. I must say, my Mom and Dad did have the patience of saints.
What a beautiful song, what a talented man Jim Croce was. I grew up listening to his music. Jim had a way with words and a super wonderful voice.
Lyrics
The Hard Way Every Time
Yeah, I’ve had my share of broken dreams
And more than a couple of falls
And in chasin’ what I thought were moonbeams
I have run into a couple of wallsBut in looking back at the places I’ve been
The changes that I’ve left behind
I just look at myself to find
I’ve learned the hard way every time‘Cause I’ve had my share of good intentions
And I’ve made my share of mistakes
And I’ve learned at times it’s best to bend
‘Cause if you don’t well those are the breaksShould have listened to all the things I was told
But I was young and too proud at the time
Now I look at myself to find
I learn the hard way ev’ry timeBut in looking back at the lessons I’ve learned
And the mountains I wanted to climb
I just look at myself to find
I’ve learned the hard way ev’ry time‘Cause I’ve had my share of broken dreams
And more than a couple of falls
And in chasin’ what I thought were moonbeams
I have run into a couple of wallsBut in looking back at the faces I’ve been
I would sure be the first one to say
When I look at myself today
Wouldn’ta done it any other wayThe song was written and preformed by Jim Croce
What matter most is Learning
The truth of the matter is just that, “learning”. As for me, the lessons I have learned the hard way are truly the ones I do remember the most.
You know, in the “proud days of youth”, we can be stubborn. I was, I had to try things “my way”
That is what has made me the person I am today.
I was indeed a chaser of moonbeams and many dreams! I look back and can get a laugh at some of my “learning”. Yeah, definitely the hard way every time. By the way, I did climb a mountain or two, hiking it’s called
I should have stayed on the hiking trail I believe. Learning …
How about you? Which is your way of learning?

The lessons I seem to learn are the ones that came the hard way too. It’s okay though. What’s important is the lesson get’s learned. Ouch though.

You have a great week, Autumn. Love ya! xxx

OMG! I learned my lesson on never to say what I’m going to do until I’ve done it like a 100 years ago, and the other day I said when I was going to do something before I did it, and wouldn’t you know it…I didn’t get it done when I said I would. Ouch again!…lol….ouch again.
