The Purple Gummy Bear
Nov 30th, 2012 by Autumn Sunshine
How it began
Well, right from the start, the little purple gummy bear felt alone. He was different, a different color than the others. He also was a bit more bouncy and he had a softer voice.
No friends did he have, and he tried so hard to fit in. No one seemed to understand. All they could see and hear was the fact that he was “different”, so the purple gummy bear danced alone and bounced high as he could.
Why don’t they understand?
Over and over he asked himself, what should I do? Will they ever like me for me? So many questions going around in his little gummy mind.
All he knew, was that he and the other gummy bears were all the same on the inside! That is what matters, after all. Not one’s color, or voice, or way of doing things.
Then one Wonderful Day
Changes were happening, purple gummy bear could tell. One day he was bouncing around the park and he met a girl gummy bear. She was brown! He was amazed and happy, she was different, too.
They began to talk, and from that time on they were best of friends. They had found the bond that joined them. They were both different.
Changes
Slowly one by one the other gummy bears, the red one, yellow one, green one the blue one and so on starting dancing and talking to brown and purple gummy bear.
Times were changing, all the other colors finally understood. It does not matter what color you are or how your voice sounds, or anything. What matters is understanding that we all are the same inside. They were all friends now …
A Dream?
Is this a happy little dream, do you think? Can this ever happen, a day when everyone can get along and be equal? Like the purple and the brown gummy bear, we have far to go. I dream of a world where people understand this difference. Wouldn’t it be a boring world if we were all the same??
Let’s look on the inside and start seeing what matters. It can happen, it really can. One step at a time one person or gummy bear at a time
All we need is to have open hearts and open minds …
CHECK THIS OUT, YOU WON’T BE SORRY

Good Morning, Sunshine!
I had to tweet this one before I started my comment…it’s brilliant!
So many people look at what’s on the outside..(eg.)..color, hair, clothing, style, and none of that matters, not even a little bit. Even in the bible God says he does not look at the face, but at the heart. People change all the time on the outside. When we like or love for what is on the inside it won’t matter what the outside looks like. We can loose our looks as we get older, or God forbid, a bad accident that could leave one disfigured. But if we love for what’s on the inside it would not change how we feel for them.
Sunshine, this is an excellent post, and many need to read it…the young, and the old.
Sending you lots of love and hugs your way. ♥ xxx

Yes, it would be nice if everyone did that, but that would be in a perfect world. God allows us to make choice every day, all day long in everything we do and think. Some choose to be shallow and God will not mess with free will. Though I’m sure it makes him very sad when that happens…like it does you…and me.
Thanks for the comments you had left on my blog…I enjoyed them.
Have a great day, my friend and sista!
