Healing Power of Music

It’s really true for me, music heals my soul …
Well, for me, music is healing. I can’t imagine my life without music. There have been times when I have felt not happy or even depressed and I just turn on the music and I will feel better. It’s an almost magic cure for me. I’m sure everyone who loves music gets to feeling better once they listen for awhile. I really like almost every sort of music, I am not a real big fan of rap music, for the most part though. It doesn’t “feel” the same to my ears. To each his own, right?
Music does take me to a peaceful place and away from the things that are making me worry or feel sad. I do have many favorite songs and as I said all sorts of music. I listen to whatever I’m in the mood for, and certain musicians have the voice that is just the best. I won’t name names 😉 Of course my very, very fave is My Music Man
Music is Love
Really music is love and love heals, too. I love music and I love life, and I love, LOVE It all makes sense to me. Love and music sort of go hand in hand.
I grew up with music in my life, my parents loved music. My Dad would sing, I close my eyes and remember that. My Dad passed away from cancer almost 9 years ago. So such a memory is just the very best to have.
So in our house we all sang, some of us better than others. I really can’t image growing up any other way. I was blessed, and as long as I live I will remember my Dad singing and whistling and just living life. Thank you to both my parents, Mom still sings, which is super.
Do you listen to music? Does it help you feel better? I am hoping a lot of you do! I wish you much music, much love, and much life
