Healing Power of Music
Jun 17th, 2012 by Autumn Sunshine
It’s really true for me, music heals my soul …
Music does
Well, for me, music is healing. I can’t imagine my life without music. There have been times when I have felt not happy or even depressed and I just turn on the music and I will feel better. It’s an almost magic cure for me. I’m sure everyone who loves music gets to feeling better once they listen for awhile. I really like almost every sort of music, I am not a real big fan of rap music, for the most part though. It doesn’t “feel” the same to my ears. To each his own, right?
Music does take me to a peaceful place and away from the things that are making me worry or feel sad. I do have many favorite songs and as I said all sorts of music. I listen to whatever I’m in the mood for, and certain musicians have the voice that is just the best. I won’t name names
Of course my very, very fave is My Music Man
Music is Love
Really music is love and love heals, too. I love music and I love life, and I love, LOVE
It all makes sense to me. Love and music sort of go hand in hand.
I grew up with music in my life, my parents loved music. My Dad would sing, I close my eyes and remember that. My Dad passed away from cancer almost 9 years ago. So such a memory is just the very best to have.
So in our house we all sang, some of us better than others. I really can’t image growing up any other way. I was blessed, and as long as I live I will remember my Dad singing and whistling and just living life. Thank you to both my parents, Mom still sings, which is super.
Any thoughts
Do you listen to music? Does it help you feel better? I am hoping a lot of you do! I wish you much music, much love, and much life

Almost every post I write has music attached. When I read blogs, I replay the songs. I listen to songs for hours usually before posting, and find the music to fit my mood. Music is one of the most important things to me. Sound is very healing. Thanks for this post. I was thinking this exact same thing.

Yes, I do listen to music even at night when I couldn’t sleep. I will play some mellow songs and the music will lull me to sleep. I also love to sing even if my voice is not so nice
By the way, I nominated you for the One Lovely Blog Award. Please visit my blog for details. Thanks.

Music is soothing, music is healing and music is also energizing! A day without music is … I almost said a day without sunshine but sometimes those days are rainy days and the rain plays music of its own!
So true about music
thanks for stopping by to read this, Sharla! I love music so much and feel the same, very soothing.
